About Us
The patented Pow-R Mole Model PD-4 and PD-6 Hydraulic Pusher /Pullers are designed with the utility industry in mind. Solid steel push rods are forced through the soil one at a time, until the push cap reaches the target trench. At this time an expander of the proper size is attached to the push rod along with the product line. Now as the rods are pulled back, the hole is enlarged, and the service pipeline or conduit is installed on the pullback operation. Pushing & pulling rates are generally up to 7 to 9 feet per minute.
The PD-4 is designed to install service piping and cable under roadways from 1/2" to 6" O.D. The PD-6, with over 84,000 lbs. of driving force, is designed to install up to 8" O.D. pipelines. Both models work well not only in confined working areas, but also in sand, gravel, hard clay, sticky clay and unstable fill areas, where other boring methods are often unsuccessful.
The patented jaw locking system enables the solid steel push rods to be top loaded, which allows operation of the Pow-R Mole from excavations as short as 51". Another advantage to the jaw design, the tougher the push or pull, the tighter the jaws lock to prevent slippage.
The Pow-R Mole can also be used for rehabilitation of defective, cast iron, concrete, or clay tile pipelines when used with our cable pulling conversion kit for the PD-4 and the PD-6 or with the PD-33 compact cable puller. The PD-7 and PD-8 are great for rehabilitation of concrete and clay tile pipe up to 12". The PD-8 has a driving force of 150,000 lbs.
Other features and options for the Pow-R Mole include a Shoring Box to provide blocking and operator safety in unstable soil conditions, Directional Steering System for the Pow-R Mole which allows the ability to provide depth, exact location, and ability to change direction on demand.
Thank you again for considering Pow-R Mole Pusher / Pullers and I will be looking forward to working with you. 100% financing available upon credit check.Click here for details.
